Angry Woman Gets Revenge at McDonald's
Aug 14 10:05 PM US/Eastern Email this story

ATHENS, Ga.
"Police have been looking for a disgruntled McDonald's customer who ran into two other customers with her car after a dispute over who was next in line.

Melinda Ann Thomas, 34, and Linda Ann Thomas, 51, were standing in a crowded line around 8:30 a.m. Saturday as they waited to order breakfast, police said. A cashier opened a new line and they stepped to the front of it _ a move that angered another customer who was waiting to order.

According to the report, the unidentified woman started yelling at them and threatened to kill them.

The woman then left the restaurant before the Thomases and stayed in the parking lot, sitting in her dark blue Jeep Cherokee, witnesses told police. As the Thomases made their way to their car, witnesses said the woman pulled out of her parking space and sped toward the women, striking them both with the passenger side of the Jeep.

Neither woman was badly injured, the police report said. "

Okay, I know this is wrong and violence never solves anything, but haven't we all been there? We're waiting in line for ever then the store opens a new line. All the people behind you that haven't been waiting as long rush over and get in the shorter line, thus checking out before you in half the time. Very aggravating.

A new disorder? Usurped in line rage?

As usual, another problem easily solved with violence. I think people would be more considerate if everyone was required to carry a gun and encouraged to use it to right perceived wrongs.

Well, since Omni did the same story, I must comment on both blogs even though I usually do anyway. Grant understands: I believe everyone should own a gun, carry it visibly and maybe then we'd have peace in the world. Not all see my point of view. Using a car as a weapon shows the frustration the non-gun owner is forced to use.

God, the NRA just love me.

They were doing major road work in Saint Louis all sumer and there were lots of lanes closed. It was very frustrating. One would be closed one day so you would take a different route and then the next day that one would be closed. But you know the people who don't wait in line...and they go around all of the traffic and try to get in front of all the people who have been waiting all of that time. Well, I'm surprised that some of them didn't get killed this summer! I could have killed a few of them!

I can understand the anger, sure. But as soon as you do something like hit them with your car because they pissed you off, you've let THEM control your actions.

Weak.
